Day 1 - Bangkok

Arrive Bangkok International airport where your guide will be waiting for a private transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Navalai River Resort. No meals included. 

Day 2 - Bangkok

After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up for a private guided Bangkok city tour that will include a visit to Wat Po, one of Bangkok's oldest and largest temples. You'll arrive in time for the chanting of the local monks. Next on the list is a stop at Lak Muang, Bangkok's city pillar where few tourists visit.  A typical Thai lunch is served before boarding the traditional longtail boats to explore the canals and waterways where you will see parts of traditional Thai life which is disappearing with "progress."  Continue on with a stop at Chao Phraya, and end with a visit to Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn. Day 3 - Bangkok - Khao Yai

You will be picked up after breakfast by your guide and driver who will take you to Khao Yai, stopping along the way to visit Bang Pa-In Summer Palace.  The manicured grounds feature a variety of architectural styles.  You'll see the Chinese Pavilion, donated in the late 19th century by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.  Continue on to the famous temples in Ayutthaya and enjoy lunch served at a local restaurant. After lunch, it's on to Khao Yai National Park to explore the tropical forests and wildlife.   Overnight at Eco Valley Lodge (B,L)

Day 4 - Khao Yai National Park 

You're up early for a hearty breakfast before we leave for Kahoa Yai National Park where we start an easy trek through the jungle to get a good impression of Thailand's natural vegetation and wildlife in the jungle. Stop at the visitor's center where you will be driven to Khao Kiew to the viewpoint above the sea to have lunch.  Then we continue on to the Haew Suwat, the largest waterfalls in the national park. You can swim below the waterfall if you wish before going on to the watch tower above the jungle as the jungle comes alive. Overnight at Eco Valley Lodge.  (B,L)

Day 5 - Khao Yai - Bangkok - Phuket

After breakfast, you will head back to Bangkok International Airport for the short flight to Phuket where you will be met and transferred to Khao Lak. Khao Lak is a seaside resort in Thailand where you will be able to snorkel on the pristine reefs, home to many fish species, interesting flora and fauna.  This is a great place to relax and enjoy the beaches and local culture.  Overnight Haadson Resort, Coconut Room (B)

Day 6 - Similan Natural Park

Relax by the beach before meeting your local guide who will introduce you to the daily activities that you can enjoy, such as a speedboat trip to the nearby islands of Similan, and snorkeling the crystal clear blue water at Koh Ha and Koh Hok.  Dinner will be served aboard the Pansa Queen while watching the sunset. Overnight in the Natural Park Bungalow's on the water.  (B,L,D)

Day 7 - Similan Natural Park

We breakfast on the Pansa Queen before we start the day snorkeling. Lunch is another wonderful Thai affair on Koh Miang before heading to Koh Simialn for some of the best snorkeling on the planet.  Dinner is back on the Pansa Queen for another sunset dinner cruise. Overnight in the Natural Park Bungalow's on the water. (B,L,D)

Day 8 - Similan Natural Park - Khao Lak

Today there is time for swimming and snorkeling around Koh Ha after breakfast on the Pansa Queen. After free time we continue on to the orchid gardens of Koh Hok. We have lunch on the Pansa Queen before we go to Ko Ba Ngu to explore the pristine beaches and climbing the Sailing Rock of Koh Similan.  Transfer back to Thaplamu Pier for transport to Khao Lak to overnight in Haadson Resort, Coconut Room (B,L).

Day 9 - Khao Lak - Khao Sok

After breakfast at your resort in Khao Lak, your driver will pick you up and transport you to your next destination for a stay in a tree house that is equipped with private baths. This area is known for wild elephants, many bird and other primate species so keep you eyes open. There is time for a float trip down the Klong Sok (depending on the season), where we pass dramatic mountain cliffs. Overnight Tree House - high room.  (B,L)

Day 10 - Khao Lak 

In the morning after breakfast, there is time for a visit to a local village temple and small caves.  The afternoon is spent relaxing, river canoeing through dramatic scenery with a stop at a local fish cave. If canoeing is not for you then you can take a jungle walk with a local guide. Local wildlife that you may see includes tigers, leopards and the illusive Malaysian Sun Bear, although they are rarely seen. Return in time for a good night's sleep in your Tree House

Day 11: Khao Lak - Raja Phraba Lake

Breakfast, followed by a transfer to the Raft Houses that will be your home for the next two nights.  There is a short excursion to a local fishing village and bat cave where you can swim. The evening walk will be to observe the natural nightlife of the rainforest. Overnight in the Raft House.  (B,L,D)

Day 12: Raja Phraba Lake 

Take an early morning canoe trip to search for local wildlife followed by a late morning boat trip and a three hour easy hike to dramatic and panoramic views of the lake and mountains. Return later afternoon to relax and enjoy the rest of your time in Thailand. Overnight in The Raft House. (B,L,D)

Day 13: Raja Phraba Lake - Surat Thani - Bangkok - home

Transfer to Bangkok airport and fly home. (B)

Add an extension to Cambodia's Siem Reap, the gateway to the Angkor region with its famed temples, including Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.

Add an extension to Myanmar to complete your tour of Southeast Asia.

Registration: To confirm your space on this tour, please send a deposit of 30% to our office. Balance is due 120 days prior to departure. 

Cancellation Policy: In the event you must cancel your reservation, refunds will be made according to the following schedule: Deposit 30% non-refundable. 90 to 61 days prior to departure, 50% of total is non-refundable; less than 60 days prior to departure, 100% non-refundable.

Insurance: Because many advance logistical arrangements have been made prior to the running of this trip, we must adhere to the above policy. In addition, please be aware that many insurance policies do not cover illness and accident expenses outside of the U.S., and Medicare does NOT cover any such expenses at all. In light of this, we strongly recommend trip cancellation and supplemental insurance.
