If your ideal Belize all-inclusive vacation includes a stay in a casual, friendly, family run jungle lodge, then duPlooy's is an excellent option.  The lodge is on the Macal River, near the Guatemalan border. It's the perfect launch pad for a trip to Tikal, the largest Mayan ruins in the area.  There are also plenty of activities right on the premises - swimming in the clear, cool waters of the river, relaxing on a small, private sandy beach, canoeing, horseback riding or visiting the Belize Botanic Gardens or the Butterfly Sanctuary close by. Birders will enjoy spotting birds from the bird blind in the Belize Botanic Gardens, or from the 200 foot canopied walkway of duPlooy's deck where toucans come to share your breakfast.

Off the property, choose from one of the many tours we offer, either to Tikal, or one of Belize's many ruins: Caracol, Xunantunich, El Pilar and Cahal Pech. duPlooy's is also a good base for cave exploration -  some of the caves even have ancient Mayan artifacts and burials in them!

Any of these tours is included in the price of your trip!
