Antarctica Cruise

Antarctica Cruise

Departures November through March
Join an IWA Antarctica cruise and explore the pristine wilderness of the Antarctica Peninsula as well as the sub-Antarctic islands of South Georgia and the Falklands. Massive icebergs, enormous seabird and penguin colonies and spectacular glaciers create one of the most exciting destinations on the planet!

On any Antarctica cruise , it's important to choose a ship that is not too large so that you have the best shore landing experience possible. While the wildlife is very tame and largely unbothered by our presence, smaller groups of fellow explorers provide for much more "connect time" with the animals and breathtaking environment,  and less time is spent getting off and on the ship from shore.

Our ships offer a variety of sturdy ice-strengthened expedition vessels of moderate size and range from comfortable, research vessel-style to luxury. Any IWA Antarctica cruise features top guides and lecturers and will endevour to spend the maximum time ashore, depending on conditions.

We provide several different Antarctica cruise itineraries ranging from shorter ones concentrating on the Antarctic Peninsula to longer voyages covering the Scotia Arc of the Falkland and South Georgia Islands. New for this season are Antarctic cruise explorations of the 'other side' of the continent: the Ross Sea area which begin in New Zealand.

Check them all out and give us a call if you have questions -- we'll be happy to help you pick the right Antarctica cruise for you!

Central and South America Cruises

Central and South America Cruises

See Central and South America aboard a small cruise ship.

Galapagos Islands Cruises

Galapagos Islands Cruises

Long known as the islands that sparked the idea of Darwin's Theory of Evolution, the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador are probably the world's best known wildlife destination.

We have hand-selected the best of the many ships that cruise the islands; our ships are smaller, so your transfers from the ship to the various destinations are much faster. A smaller group means more animals and fewer people! All our ships have excellent environmental and safety records - we want to help preserve this unique destination.

Our trips include three nights hotel, a bonus tour of Quito, Or, add a day trip to the Otavalo Market, just north of Quito. You'll spend the night at one of Quito's best hotels, then fly to the Islands for your Galapagos wildlife adventure.

Jungle Rivers & Tropical Islands

Jungle Rivers & Tropical Islands

On these voyages we will rediscover American history, culture, and nature. During the summer months, we've scheduled five individual itineraries among the Great Lakes, with ports as famed as Niagara Falls and Mackinac Island—and as intimate as Sturgeon Bay, a quaint town on Wisconsin's stunning Door Peninsula. In the autumn, we'll voyage from  Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard up the Hudson River to West Point; then the Yorktown will sail out of New Orleans to explore the historic cities and islands of the Gulf Coast, a region that offers many attractions yet is seldom visited.  For every famous place in American history, there are dozens of secret places that played their part. We invite you to voyage with us, and explore the America that's been there all along—just slightly beyond sight.
