Galapagos Grand Odyssey

Galapagos Grand Odyssey Galapagos Grand Odyssey

Your Galapagos trip starts with two nights in Quito, Ecuador, the World Heritage city that sits high in the Andes. You will stay at the five-star Swissotel, located near Old Town in this historic city.  The day after your arrival, you're invited on a complimentary guided half day city tour of Quito. As an alternative, add on a day trip to the world famous enormous Otavalo Market where you can shop for high quality hand crafted items.

On the third day, you'll fly from Quito to Santa Cruz or San Cristobel, depending on your itinerary.  There, you'll board the 135 foot, 16 passenger Galapagos Grand Odyssey.  It features 9 spacious suites with twin or king beds, some of which connect, making them suitable for families.  All suites feature panoramic windows to showcase the spectacular views.  You will enjoy local and international dishes prepared by the Grand Odyssey chef, and you are welcome to join the chef in the kitchen to learn how to prepare local specialties, like fresh Ecuadorian ceviche.

Other ship amenities include a large solarium with shaded and open areas, two Jacuzzis, comfortable sun loungers and a mini spa offering therapies and massages. The Grand Odyssey is equipped for fun, with complementary snorkeling equipment and kayaks available for guests.

At the end of your Galapagos cruise, we'll return you to Quito, where you'll have one last opportunity to savor the rich culture of this South American city.

We offer five Galapagos trips aboard the Galapagos Grand Odyssey, ranging from 8 to 18 days. Some trips of the same length follow different itineraries. Following are two itineraries for the popular 9 day trip, which includes 6 days in the Galapagos.  All trips begin in Quito and include your hotel and a city tour. From there you will fly to either Baltra or San Cristobal, depending on your itinerary, and begin your cruise aboard Odyssey through the islands. Please contact our office for details and availability of other itineraries.
