North America Cruise | Southeast Alaska Cruise

Dawes Glacier Dawes Glacier

For a memorable holiday in Alaska, nothing can compare to a small ship cruise along the waters of Southeast Alaska.  Join us aboard the 68 foot ketch Island Odyssey as we explore Fredericks Sound and Chatham Strait on a nine day voyage filled with jaw droppingly stunning scenery and wildlife.  We can expect to see whales every day, as well as brown bears and eagles. Evening anchorages are gorgeous, and are made more exciting by glimpses of bears along the shore! We will experience a spectacular tidewater glacier and see icebergs and thousand foot waterfalls.  We will have access to the US Forest Service bear viewing stand, where we will often see bears fishing for salmon. A viewing blind at water level provides great photography opportunities. We will have time for kayaking or walks ashore, or perhaps a relaxing dip in a hotsprings. We will spot and identify wildlife and explore the shoreline for intertidal creatures.

Forget the huge mega-ships for the best Alaska cruise! Only a small ship like the Island Odyssey can give you the Alaska cruise experience you're looking for!

Trips depart from Petersburg, Alaska. We meet late morning to board the yacht, where we will begin our adventure into wild Southeast Alaska.
