This Galapagos cruise offers 8 or 11 day itineraries aboard Cormorant, a small luxury catamaran.  Your Galapagos tour package starts with two nights in the World Heritage city of Quito, Ecuador. You stay at a luxury hotel located near Old Town in this historic city.  The day after your arrival, your tour starts with a half day city tour of Quito. As an alternative, add on a day trip to the famous Otavalo Indian Market where you can shop for high quality hand crafted items. 

On the morning of your third day, you'll fly to Baltra or San Cristobal to begin your 7, 8 or 11 day package Galapagos trip. After your cruise, we fly you back to the mainland where you'll have another night to enjoy Quito and in your luxury hotel before you depart for home.

Itinerary:

We offer various Galapagos trips aboard the Cormorant, ranging from 7 to 11 days. All package trips begin in Quito or Guayaquil and include your hotels, transfersfrom/to airport and a city tour. From there you will fly to Baltra or San Cristobal to begin your cruise aboard the Cormorant. Quito, situated in a circle of mountainous peaks, is the world's second highest capital and has one of the most magnificent settings in the world. Designated as a UN World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978, Quito boasts one of the finest colonial centers in Latin America. Spend a half-day with your private guide exploring the spectacular city.

The Otavalo Indian Market Day Trip
Otavalo is the most famous Indian market in Ecuador and much of South America: ponchos, exquisite sweaters, wool rugs, leatherwork, wooden goods, and Indian jewelry are sold here. The Otavalo Indians, for whom the town is named, cling proudly to their ancient culture and mode of dress. This is a must see visit. Contact us for this optional day trip pricing.

Weekly departures year round. 11 day packages are from Thursdays to Sunday.  8 day packages are from Thursday to Thursday.

Package prices are USD and include: Three nights luxury hotel accomodations in Quito, airport transfers, Quito city tour, cruise, meals while on cruise, use of snorkeling equipment, wetsuits and kayaks, and all guide services. Based on double occpuancy

Not included: Round trip airfare to and from Galapagos, park entrance fee, transit fee, gratuities, airport departure taxes, visas or passports, laundry or personal items while on the ship, alcoholic beverages, air fare to and from your home, and travel insurance.

Round trip air to Galapagos from Quito or Guayaquil, park entrance fee and transit fee is $645 per person, subject to change.

Single supplements:  Prices are based on double occupancy. The single supplement is 50% over the cruise rate. (100% during Christmas, New Year's, and Easter)

Family Departures and Group Rates:  Children under 12 years pay 75% of the full rate when accompanied by an adult (child discounts not available during Christmas, New Year's, and Easter).

The Otavalo Indian Market Day Trip

This day-long outing includes: a scenic three-hour drive from Quito, morning at Otavalo market, visit to the famous leatherwork village of Cotacachi, and a stop for lunch at beautiful Hacienda Cusin.

Price: $275 per person based on 2 traveling.

All prices per person, based on double occupancy Fuel tax surcharges may be applicable.

Registration

Deposit: 25% per person non-refundable deposit due at time of booking. 

Cancellation Policy: Non-refundable balance due 90 days prior to travel dates. 

Insurance: Because many advance logistical arrangements have been made prior to the running of this trip, we must adhere to the above policy. In addition, please be aware that many insurance policies do not cover illness and accident expenses outside of the U.S., and Medicare does NOT cover any such expenses at all. In light of this, we strongly recommend trip cancellation and supplemental insurance.

A travel insurance quote will be sent to you upon registration, or you can purchase it from our site by clicking on the "Purchase Travel Insurance" in the left-hand column. Our insurance carrier is Travelex.
