duPlooy's is a small, friendly, family-run jungle lodge located on the Macal River in Belize, near the Guatemalan border. There are plenty of activities right on the premises - swimming in the clear, cool waters of the river, canoeing, relaxing on a beautiful sandy beach, canoeing, horseback riding or visiting the adjacent Belize Botanic Gardens. Birders will enjoy spotting birds from the bird blind in the Belize Botanic Gardens, or from the 200 foot canopied walkway of duPlooy's deck.

Off the property, choose from one of the many tours we offer to Guatemala's famed Tikal, or Belize's many ruins: Caracol, Xunantunich, El Pilar and Cahal Pech. Cave exploration is a must -- some of the caves have ancient Mayan artifacts and burials in them!

La Casita
A two-story house with a king sized bed, double futon, and wrap-around porch with hammocks on each floor. Bathroom with jacuzzi upstairs, and large bathtub downstairs. Perfect for families or friends traveling together. Extra beds available, sleeps up to 8 people.

The Belize River House
The Belize River House features the Macal River Suite (3 bedrooms) and Mopan River Suites (4 bedrooms), each suite has 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a porch. These suites can be rented separately for smaller groups and families, or as a whole house for larger groups.

Jungle Lodge Rooms
Our original rooms, set side by side in groups of three, are very spacious and comfortable. Each room has two queen-sized beds, private bath, and screened porch with hammock. Sleeps 2 - 4 very comfortably.
