Dymond Lake Lodge offers a lodge based polar bear tour with easy tundra walks for bear and other wildlife viewing at ground level. Stay in a warm, comfortable backcountry lodge, and enjoy gourmet home cooked meals and northern hospitality. Your trip also includes a day of bear-watching from a tundra vehicle.
This beautiful lodge is located just a 30-minute flight north of Churchill on the shore of crystal-clear Dymond Lake and nearby Hudson Bay. The bay, lakeshore and spruce boreal forest is a favorite place for polar bears to hang out while they wait for the ice to appear, signaling the start of their annual winter seal hunt. You will take short hikes during the day onto the tundra and shore accompanied by experienced wilderness guides. Or, view the bears right from the lodge!
