Combine Sacha Lodge with a Galapagos Cruise! Sacha Lodge is an excellent add-on to one of our Galapagos cruises, or it can be booked as a great stand-alone exploration of the world's greatest rainforest. Contact our office and we'll help you arrange all the details! Sacha Lodge is located in the midst of awe-inspiring primary rainforest two miles from one of the main tributaries in the upper Amazon River basin, the Rio Napo, on the bank of a deep, clear lake.
Large networks of foot and canoe trails are available for exploration in this 3,200 acre private reserve. More than 500 species of birds are found in this primal rainforest, making it a Mecca for serious birders. A 130-foot observation tower and a 940-foot canopy walkway provide a stunning view of the rainforest and are two of the best ways to view wildlife.
Sacha Lodge is one of the newest and best Amazonian lodges on the upper Amazon basin. It provides comfortable, screened-in huts, made with thatched roofs and local materials. All units have hot showers, toilets and running water and full screens on windows. The food is excellent and the full bar is great place to relax at the end of an exciting day of jungle exploration and wildlife spotting.
Sacha's superb, well-trained guides are both indigenous and non-indigenous, and multi-lingual. They are adept at finding the birds and other wildlife, as well as providing in-depth knowledge of the rainforest and the medicinal value of its plants.
