Kenya Highlights Safari
Day 1 Nairobi:
Clients are met on arrival and transferred to the historic Norfolk Hotel. Older than the Ritz and younger than the Savoy, no other hotel in Kenya has as rich a history as the Norfolk. Originally built in 1904 as a watering hole for the settlers, it has matured gracefully and, since its recent acquisition by the Fairmont Hotel Group, has undergone extensive refurbishment.

Days 2 – 4 Maasai Mara :
Today you set out on safari, flying straight to the world famous Maasai Mara. You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to camp with a game drive en-route. The Maasai Mara is undoubtedly the jewel in the crown of East Africa, forever associated with vast numbers of game and the unique spectacle of its animal migration unchanged over the centuries. Your base is a comfortable tented lodge on the banks of the Talek River, perfectly located for year round game-viewing.

Days 5-6 Lake Nakuru :
Today after breakfast you drive to Lake Nakuru, a scenic drive across the Rift Valley Floor with a picnic lunch en-route. You arrive in this beautiful sanctuary mid-afternoon, time to stretch your legs and relax overlooking the flamingo filled lake. Nakuru was created as a National Park to protect its famous flocks of Lesser Flamingo, literally millions of birds turn its shores pink. This park is also a successful rhino sanctuary and lion and leopard are plentiful here. Your base is Lion Hill Lodge, a mid-range safari lodge right inside the park itself.

Days 7-8 Laikipia Plateau / Ol Pejeta
Today you drive to the foothills of Mount Kenya to explore a private wildlife conservancy on the Laikipia plateau. You will spend two nights here in the extremely comfortable Ol Pejeta Ranch House. The Ranch is a highly successful 90,000 acre wildlife conservancy, with 24,000 acres dedicated to Jane Goodall's Chimpanzee sanctuary, Sweetwaters.

Days 9-11 Samburu National Reserve
Today after an early breakfast you head north to the arid, semi-desert eco-system of Samburu, Shaba and Buffalo Springs in Kenya's Northern Frontier District. You eat a picnic lunch en-route, arriving inside the reserve in time for a hot shower and a cold drink. You spend the next two full days exploring Samburu and neighbouring Shaba Reserves – both offer incredible scenery, cultural immersion and easy game-viewing in a balmy climate. Your base in Samburu is the Intrepids Tented Camp – a pleasant mid-range camp with comfortable and spacious tents, a welcome swimming pool and excellent service.

Day 12 Nairobi & Depart:
After breakfast you catch the scheduled flight to Nairobi. You will be met and transferred to the conveniently located Panari Hotel for lunch and an afternoon at leisure to rest and repack before you transfer to the airport for your international flight departure.
