Day 1: Arrive Lima
Arrive Lima, transfer to 3 or 5-star hotel.

Day 2: Lima/Cuzco area ruins
Transfer to airport and fly to Cuzco. Visit Cuzco and the nearby Incan ruins at Sacsayhuaman, the most impressive ruins in the Cuzco area. The magnificent zigzag walls form what was a strong fortification. The rocks of the walls weigh up to 130 tons and are fitted together with perfection. The sanctuary is believed to be the temple to the Sun. We will continue on to Qenco with its striking temple and amphitheater including some of the finest Inca stone carvings in situ. Before returning to Cuzco visit the ruin at Tambo Machay, believed to be a site for sacred bathing and cleansing ceremonies for Inca rulers and their royal women. Water flows from hidden channels out of the masonry wall, straight into a little rock pool known as the "El Baño del Inca".

Day 3: Sacred Valley/Yucay
This day will be spent in the Sacred Valley of the Incas visiting the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo with its intricate rose-colored granite temples, baths and military installations. Visit the Inca village of the same name, one of the few vestiges of Inca urban design that can still be appreciated. Visit the village of Pisac with its market (Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday) known for high quality handicrafts such as alpaca sweaters.
Overnight Sacred Valley at 3 or 5-star hotel.

Day 4: Machu Picchu
Transfer to train station for 3 hour train ride through the Urubamba valley to the ruins of Machu Picchu. The lost city of the Incas', consisting of temples, palaces and sacred rocks, was discovered in 1911 high up on a mountain ridge, hidden by jungle overgrowth. The ruins are one of the world's greatest archaeological finds and one of the true wonders of the world.On arrival to Machu Picchu, your guide will take you into the ruins to walk the ruins with its amazing rooms, temples and terraces.
Overnight at 3 or 5-star hotel.

Day 5: Machu Picchu/Cuzco
Sunrise hike up to the Door of the Sun and an exploration of the ruins with breathtaking views of the Urubamba gorge and surrounding peaks. Return to Cuzco on afternoon train and transfer to hotel. Overnight at 3 or 5-star hotel.

Day 6: To Lima
Transfer to airport for flight to Lima, on arrival in Lima transfer to your hotel. Afternoon Lima city tour and Gold Museum.
Overnight 3 or 5 star hotel.

Day 7: Fly Home
Transfer to airport for flight home.
