M/Y Evolution is an excellent boat for travelers who want a Galapagos cruise on a classic ship.  Your 11 day trip begins in Quito, Ecuador, where you'll stay two nights at a five-star hotel, located near Old Town in this historic city.  The day after your arrival, your trip starts with a city tour of Quito. As an alternative, add on a day trip to the world famous Otavalo Market where you can shop for high quality hand crafted items. 

On the morning of your third day, you'll fly to San Cristobal or Baltra to begin your 11 day Galapagos cruise aboard the graceful M/Y Evolution.  This beautiful boat evokes a classic era with her graceful lines. At 192 feet, she is one of the larger Galapagos boats we offer, accommodating up to 32 passengers in 16 cabins, singles or twins with private bath. Evolution offers a mix of beautifully furnished salons, open decks and private areas, and spacious cabins with private baths. 

After your cruise, we fly you back to the mainland where you'll have another night to enjoy Quito and overnight before you depart for home.

Quito, situated in a circle of mountainous peaks, is the world's second highest capital and has one of the most magnificent settings in the world. Designated as a UN World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978, Quito boasts one of the finest colonial centers in Latin America. Spend a half-day with your private guide exploring the spectacular city.

Optional:
The Otavalo Indian Market Day Trip
Otavalo is the most famous Indian market in Ecuador and much of South America: ponchos, exquisite sweaters, wool rugs, leatherwork, wooden goods, and Indian jewelry are sold here. The Otavalo Indians, for whom the town is named, cling proudly to their ancient culture and mode of dress. This is a must see visit. Day trip with lunch at a hacienda is $250 per person based on two traveling.

Notes:

Package prices are USD and include:  Three nights luxury hotel accomodations in Quito, airport transfers, Quito city tour, cruise, meals while on cruise, use of snorkeling equipment and wetsuits, and all guide services. 

Not included:  Round trip airfare to and from Galapagos, park entrance fee, transit fee, gratuities, airport departure taxes, visas or passports, laundry or personal items while on the ship, alcoholic beverages, air fare to and from your home, and travel insurance. 

Round trip air to Galapagos from Quito or Guayaquil, park entrance fee and transit fee is $645 per person, subject to change.  

Single supplements:  Prices are based on double occupancy. The single supplement is 75% over the cruise rate. (100% during Christmas, New Years, and Easter)

Family Departures:  Children under 11 years of age pay 70% of the full rate when accompanied by an adult. (Maximum 2 child discounts per family)

Surcharges:  Christmas, New Years and Easter week cruise surcharge is $500 per person. Fuel tax surcharges may be applicable.

The Otavalo Indian Market Day Trip

This day-long outing includes: a scenic three-hour drive from Quito, morning at Otavalo market, visit to the famous leatherwork village of Cotacachi, and a stop for lunch at beautiful Hacienda Cusin with a return to Quito.

Price: $250 per person based on 2 traveling. 

All prices per person, based on double occupancy.

Deposit: $1,000 per person non-refundable deposit due at time of booking. 

Cancellation Policy:  Non-refundable balance due 90 days prior to travel dates. 

Insurance:  Because many advance logistical arrangements have been made prior to the running of this trip, we must adhere to the above policy. In addition, please be aware that many insurance policies do not cover illness and accident expenses outside of the U.S., and Medicare does NOT cover any such expenses at all. In light of this, we strongly recommend trip cancellation and supplemental insurance.

The Evolution

M/Y Evolution evokes a classic era of boating with her graceful lines and elegant interiors.She is a 192 ft yacht that accomodates up to 32 passengers in 16 spacious cabins, all with private baths. She offers a variety of beautifully furnished salons, open decks and private areas. Additionally, the yacht has a jacuzzi,  bar, sun deck, boutique and an infirmary with a doctor on board at all times. Kayaks, snorkeling gear and wetsuits are available.
